Italian Design for Contract, Hospitality & Commercial Spaces in Southern California
Tacchini made a serious impression this season during the Milan Design week, showing across three different locations and delivering a collection that feels more confident, more layered, and more colorful than ever. As someone who has worked closely with the brand for nearly a decade, I'm genuinely excited about what these new pieces mean for our clients here in Southern California.
Here's a closer look at what stood out.
The BUTTER Collection Keeps Growing
Faye Toogood's BUTTER Collection has become one of Tacchini's most beloved - and it just expanded in all the right directions. New additions include a lounge chair, a three-seater sofa, a low table, and a storage cabinet, ( now available in 22 colors ). The collection's sculptural, almost elemental quality translates beautifully into hospitality environments — think boutique hotel lounges, upscale restaurant waiting areas, or any space where the furniture is meant to be part of the experience.
Roberto Sironi's New Tables: COLONNA & PIETRAFORMA
Designer Roberto Sironi contributed two striking new tables to the Tacchini family: the COLONNA and the PIETRAFORMA. Both carry Sironi's signature sensibility — rooted in material honesty and architectural form. These are pieces that anchor a room, ideal for contract settings where longevity and visual weight matter equally.
ARTONA: A Nod to History, Forged in a New Direction
The ARTONA Collection draws its DNA from one of Italian design's most iconic pieces — the AFRICA Chair by Afra & Tobia Scarpa — while stepping into its own with a more structured, masculine energy. It's a beautiful example of how Tacchini honors its heritage without being bound by it. For specifiers working on spaces that call for classic proportions with a contemporary edge, ARTONA is worth a close look.
VESTA: Versatility in a Gorgeous New Lounge Chair
The VESTA lounge chair is elegant, adaptable, and well-suited to both residential and contract applications — and a swivel version is on the way. This kind of flexibility is exactly what today's hospitality and commercial projects demand.
Grand SESANN Limited Edition: 100 Pieces for Collectors
To honor the centenary of designer Gianfranco Frattini's birth, Tacchini is releasing a limited edition of just 100 Grand SESANN Sofas, each featuring rich leather detailing. This is a rare opportunity for collectors and design-forward clients alike. Once they're gone, they're gone - and given Tacchini's track record, demand will be strong.
Color Takes Center Stage
Across the entire collection, color plays a more prominent role than in recent seasons. Many pieces are now available in a stunning range of lacquered finishes — both glossy and matte — opening up new possibilities for interiors that want to make a statement without sacrificing sophistication. It's a shift that feels very much in step with where high-end hospitality design is heading.
