The collaboration between Tacchini and Studiopepe extends to dining tables, bringing the solemn structure of the Torii into the dining room. Like the eponymous console, the table draws on the architecture and sculptural language of traditional Japanese gateways in a sequence of distant visions and emotions.
Three essential elements — a top with great character reminiscent of a lintel and two legs resembling load-bearing columns — come together in a structure that is as essential as it is evocative, while the elegant finishes engage in dialogue with lacquered tones, creating a sophisticated balance between material and colour.
The console, designed by Studiopepe, is available in two new colours, chocolate and powder pink, that enhance the lacquered finish, acce
ntuating the architectural character of the piece with light reflections on the surfaces.
Already part of the Tacchini collections since 2023, Torii Love recalls the architecture of traditional Japanese gateways, iconic buildings characterised by two vertical support columns and a horizontal beam at the top. In the console, these elements combine into an essential yet imposing physicality, with a substantial top that acts as a lintel and two legs resembling load-bearing columns.
